this a good, no, excellent story for kids. the title is Gruffalo and it was written by Julia Donaldson. it's a simple story of a mouse walking through forest and found many predators along his way like snake and owl that were obviously trying to eat the mouse. the mouse cleverly cheated his way out of death by saying that he plans to dine with Gruffalo. after evading all those animals, the mouse was shocked to meet Gruffalo - a monster that he created to cheat the predators. but then again the mouse cheated his way out of death by saying to Gruffalo that he is the scariest animal in the forest. he proved it when all the other predators got out of his way when they say him walking side by side with Gruffalo.
the main character of the story is a tiny mouse but he's able to get himself out of his trouble by using his intelligence. this is appealing to kids because it can teach them to use their brains and knowledge when they are facing troubles.
the illustrations used are interesting and can make anyone look at it want to know the story and read it until the end. the languages used are simple and easy for kids to understand. it's also a good material to use as a bedtime story =)
