when i was a kid, i always love the story The Thirsty Crow. of course there are many other interesting fables but this one is my all time favourite.
the story begins with a crow flying around looking for something to drink as the crow was thirsty. the crow found a jug of water but the water inside the jug was to little to be drink from the mouth of the jug. the crow had an idea of putting stones into the jug to raise the water level. his plan worked and he's able to put his beak into the jug and drink from it.
i like this story very much because it teaches me the value of working hard to get what you want. when we worked really hard for the things we want, we will feel really satisfied when our effort paid off. i always think of this story whenever i feel like giving up. when i think of it, i would be patient and feel determined again to finish whatever i had worked on.
